A day of kindness, community, and gratitude
The McIntyre Law Turkey Giveaway 2025 has its roots in a community tradition that started over a decade ago. Our goal was to help families in Oklahoma who struggle with food insecurity. As part of our firm’s annual McIntyre Law Day of Kindness, the turkey giveaway is an example of how we can share our gratitude by helping others enjoy a nourishing holiday meal.
Our founder, Noble McIntyre, and his team partner with local organizations, including the Oklahoma Association for Justice, Lawyers Fighting Hunger, and the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Working together, we expand our reach, help raise significant funds, and distribute thousands of turkeys to families in need. While turkey is the centerpiece of the meal, we include all the fixings of a complete Thanksgiving dinner, such as canned green beans, canned corn, and a box of stuffing.

Record-breaking donations from the Oklahoma legal community
The McIntyre Law Turkey Giveaway 2025 set a new milestone, raising a record-breaking $161,000 and surpassing the $153,000 we raised last year. Breaking records is a continuing tradition; our giving grew from $102,750 in 2023 and $114,500 in 2022.
A significant portion of the support was from Lawyers Fighting Hunger. This nonprofit connects donors in the Oklahoma legal community. We also reach out to unaffiliated law firms and individual attorneys. These combined efforts not only boost the funds we use on the giveaway but also create a strong sense of solidarity across the legal profession.

Fighting food insecurity in Oklahoma
Food insecurity is a challenge in Oklahoma. Hundreds of thousands of households are not able to consistently access enough nutritious food. A recent USDA report stated that 14.3% of Oklahoma households, which comes to nearly 250,000 families, had experienced food insecurity between 2020 and 2022.
The rising cost of living and the end of pandemic-era food supports are putting increasing strain on family budgets. Unfortunately, Oklahoma’s food insecurity rate is above the national average, especially impacting families with children.
Lawyers Fighting Hunger has played a critical role in filling gaps in local food program funding by supporting the McIntyre Law Turkey Giveaway in 2025 and years previous. The organization was started by a group of Oklahoma attorneys in 2009, joined by leaders including Noble McIntyre and Hugh M. Robert. It then quickly expanded statewide. The program has further extended its impact through events such as McIntyre Law Day of Kindness, helping families beyond giving them turkeys.
World Kindness Week in Oklahoma
World Kindness Week is part of a global movement dedicated to encouraging generosity, service, and compassion. The idea is to inspire people to help others at the local level. The McIntyre Law Day of Kindness launched 16 years ago and is now an annual tradition that brings together legal professionals, donors, and volunteers to focus on supporting families facing food insecurity.
We encourage those who want to be part of furthering the spirit of World Kindness Week to donate to Lawyers Fighting Hunger. You will join and strengthen our efforts to help Oklahoma families get access to nutritious meals during the holidays and beyond.
Join us for the 17th Annual Day of Kindness
The annual McIntyre Day of Kindness for 2026 will take place the Friday before Thanksgiving at the Southern Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. It continues a long-standing tradition of providing meals to families in need during the holidays.
In addition to the Oklahoma City event, Day of Kindness celebrations will also be held in Tulsa, Mustang, and El Reno. We are pleased to expand the reach of this initiative to involve more communities in taking part in a day promoting generosity, gratitude, and service.
